Every Division picks one mode. The mode shapes how picks are made, how points are earned, and whether the Division qualifies for the Pyramid.
Conviction
The ranked, competitive mode.
- Picks are hidden until kickoff — no copying, no herding.
- Probability locks the moment you commit. Submit early or wait.
- Probability-weighted scoring rewards calls others won't make.
- One commit per fixture. No edits after lock. Forever.
- Counts toward Division qualification for the Football Pyramid.
Selector
The social, low-pressure mode.
- Picks stay hidden until kickoff — revealed to your Division at the whistle.
- Edit freely right up until kickoff.
- Flat scoring — every correct pick is worth the same.
- No probability weighting, no upset bonuses.
- Does NOT qualify for the Football Pyramid.
Scoring
Probability-weighted scoring.
The harder the call, the bigger the reward. Calling a major upset earns significantly more than backing a heavy favourite — and losing a long-shot costs less than blowing a banker.

Locked at kickoff
The whistle locks every pick. No edits, no late entries. Conviction picks are revealed to your Division.

Final whistle. Points awarded against your locked probability. Standings update automatically.
Knockout fixtures stay hidden until the participating teams are confirmed. No placeholder picks.
Divisions
Your league. Your rivals.
Divisions are private leagues you create or join by invite. The creator picks the game mode, invites the squad, and the Division competes for the season.
Founding Members
Every active player during the World Cup is recognised as a FirstX1 Founding Member — opening the door to exclusive Founding Member tournaments and perks down the line.
Valid entries
Divisions and players must meet activity and integrity standards to be Pyramid-eligible. Invalid entries are skipped on the Pyramid table.
Standings
Ranked on total points. Tie-breakers: correct picks, prediction efficiency, longest streak, highest upset.
The Football Pyramid
The competition above the competition.
Every Pyramid-eligible Conviction Division feeds into a permanent, cross-platform ranking. Apex sits at the top. Few players ever earn the right to sit there.
FAQ
Quick answers.
Do I have to pick every fixture?+
No. Skipping a fixture scores zero, costs nothing, and keeps your streak intact. Selection is part of the game.
Can I switch my Division between Conviction and Selector?+
No. The mode is set at Division creation and cannot change mid-season. This protects competition integrity.
When can I see other people's picks?+
At kickoff. Both Conviction and Selector hide picks until the whistle — then they reveal to your Division.
Why was my Division skipped on the Pyramid table?+
Pyramid eligibility requires Conviction mode plus valid activity from a minimum number of players. Selector Divisions and inactive Divisions are not ranked.
What happens if a fixture is postponed?+
Picks reopen and re-lock at the new kickoff. Any locked probabilities from the original time are reset so you can re-commit.
Can I really submit seconds before kickoff?+
Yes. Picks stay open right up to the whistle. Late team news, injuries and lineup leaks are all part of the edge — that's why Conviction freezes your probability the moment you commit.
Can I edit a Conviction pick after submitting?+
No. One commit per fixture. The locked probability is frozen the moment you submit — that's the whole point of Conviction.
What is a FirstX1 Founding Member?+
Every active player during the World Cup earns Founding Member status. It's permanent recognition — and may unlock exclusive Founding Member tournaments and perks as the platform grows.
